LASA Alley Cat Player performances take place at the G.A. Bailey Performing Arts Center which is located at the LASA campus off of Gardner Road.
Only UIL is exclusive to students taking theatre classes as electives; all other shows are open to any LASA student. All students involved in theatre in any capacity can consider themselves Alley Cat Players!
UIL stands for University Interscholastic League. It provides inter-school educational extracurricular contests for music, athletics, and academics. Students in theatre classes may participate in a UIL one-act competition which occurs each Spring.
2026-27: Tech I, Acting I and Advanced Theatre (which includes advanced actors and advanced techs)
In the past parents have sponsored meals for the entire company, but feeding an average of 40-60 students is a very big job. There will be a small Fair Share charged for each show a student participates in. This will help to cover the cost of meals during Tech Week and Performances. We are looking for restaurants to donate meals to help keep those fees low. Donations to an annual general fund drive is different than donations for Fair Share.
Officer roles are open only to students enrolled in theatre electives.
Your involvement can make all the difference in the LASA theatre program, and there are so many ways to help, from leadership roles to donating to volunteering for just a couple of hours!
